Reunion of 1987-91 “C” Civil Batch on 28-02-2020

About 35 students of the 1987-91 Civil ‘C’ section celebrated their reunion in the college. They visited the saidabad campus where they studied and had a nostalgic tour of the campus and cherished fond memories of their student’s days. Later they visited the nadergul campus and were received and ushered in by the Head of the Department, Faculty, Staff of the Civil Engineering Department and the President of the Alumni Association.

Sri MBBS Purushotham,Founder Member,MECS,addressed the alumni and suggested to bring out a souvenir. Hon’ble Chairman, Dr K.P Srinivas Rao, Hon’ble Vice-Chairman, Sri T. Jitendranath, Hon’ble Secretary, Sri J. Sudhakar, Hon’ble Treasurer, Sri M.Vasudeva Rao and Hon’ble Joint Secretary, Sri M.V.S Pavan Kumar met the alumni and greeted them.

The alumni met all the faculty and Staff of the Civil Engineering Department and had lunch together. The Head of the CSE Department & Placement Officer, Prof J. Prasanna Kumar joined and greeted all the alumni. After the lunch, all the alumni and faculty and Staff of the department assembled in the Sri KVR Conference hall. The Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr M. Kameswara Rao, formally welcomed the alumni and proposed to have a collaborative engagement with the alumni in the form of guest lectures, helping for internships, Student projects etc. For which the alumni responded positively. Later, HOD invited the alumni to share their experiences. Alumni shared their experiences with the faculty and students of the department and encouraged the students to excel in their chosen field. The alumni also shared lighter moments with the students by dancing and singing with them. The alumni presented a memento as a token of respect for their teachers. Head of the CSE department & Placement Officer, Prof Prasanna Kumar and President of Alumni Association, Mr KVRK Subrahmanyam addressed the alumni.

Smt Roopa Kolan, Treasurer, MVSREC Alumni Association and the faculty Coordinators for alumni activities in the department Smt Swetha Kaushik, Ms S. Swathi and Mr Praveen S. Kari made all the necessary arrangements for the reunion and made it successful.
